Who we are

Our pets are our family too and we understand our privilege in helping your pet take their last journey with you in the comfort of their own home.

Lasting Pawprints was formed from a strong desire to be able to offer families the comfort of choosing to say goodbye to their pets in their own homes surrounded by their loved ones. For many animals the clinic environment can be stressful, the car ride might be tough - we recognise the unique privilege we have as veterinarians to change this by visiting you at home.

Saying goodbye to our extremely special heart dog Pace was the catalyst to forming this company. We wanted to offer other people the opportunity to choose for their pets final journey to be in the privacy of their own home, surrounded by familiar smells, people and belongings.

Ed and Rachael have both been veterinarians for 17 years. Their family includes three young children and five special canine friends. In their free time they enjoy dog agility, scentwork, hunting, and exploring Canterbury’s outdoors with the family.
